His passion is film. He went to the London college of design and print.
He is also passionate about the way people work together.
Everyone is born creative, and this decreases as we get older. Creativity is an essential human element. Creativity is at its best when people can sit around and collaborate. How people communicate with each other impacts the degree of creativity.
His role as a leader has changed dramatically.
Galvin is a Director and not a boss. Its important in the creative space to sit around a physical table and collaborate. Galvin has a professional network of peers he uses to help solve problems. He collaborates with customers.
Galvin is a big believer in personal systems. He has a book that helps keep him focused with lists, schedules and meeting notes. At least one item each day features his passion, which may not be to do with work or family.
For young people who want to get into filmmaking and the creative space, Galvin advises: “Don't talk about making things, just make them.” Make them the best you can so that your output is differentiated in a crowded market. Be original, authentic, take a risk and be true to yourself.
