Bernie Kelly - "The enabling technology is developing quicker than the leaders."

Bernie Kelly is an executive mentor working with teams that are in industries that are in transformation.  He is also the chair of the Australia Transformation and Turnaround Association.

He has over 30 years of experience in the industry, specialising in businesses going through a growth phase and disrupted businesses.  He is passionate about setting up teams for success and building up the fitness for the next step of growth and change.

Business schools don’t teach business executives how to integrate cross-functional teams but without this happening, there can be no traction across strategic cycles.  .

Leaders need to own the problem and the execution.  The leaders need to navigate through the internal and external barriers to success.

Crisis management can happen for a short period, but it becomes fatiguing.  It is vital to create space for the next horizon.  It is OK to go hard for a short period but going the distance requires room for creativity.

There is not enough time for skills development if the work style does not change.

Diversity Equity and inclusion is seen to be a nice thing to do.  However, it is impossible to get the required ideas and input without a comprehensive DEI in place.

For young people, they need to be astute and intentional.  What is it that you are passionate about and drives you?.  What inspires you?  Take the decade view, and this will reduce the noise.
